I’m Veruska Anconitano, and my work lives where language, culture, technology, and global growth meet.
I started in this field long before “SEO” was a discipline and before “AI SEO” existed. What drove me then, and still drives me now, is understanding how people search, think, and buy across cultures, and how companies can meet them with clarity and respect.
Over the years, I’ve worked with brands of all sizes, from early-stage teams to global companies in EMEA, APAC, and the US like Booking.com, Amazon, ByteDance, Canva, Atlassian, Samsung, CapCut, Aliexpress, and Uber. My role has always been the same: help them make sense of unfamiliar markets and build an organic presence that works because it’s culturally grounded, not despite it.
My background blends data science, sociolinguistics and sociology, which means I approach global growth as a human problem first, and a technical problem second. I was also trained in language technology and worked with early AI applications in the language industry, years before generative AI and LLMs got public awareness. Today, I build on that experience by also working in AI SEO, helping brands become discoverable across emerging AI-driven search ecosystems. I’m interested in why people search the way they do, why language shapes trust, and how companies can adapt their voice, structure, strategy, and overall presence — where they appear and how they show up — to be understood, not just indexed.
I’m technically hands-on by nature: I audit, analyze, code, test, automate, and work closely with engineers and product teams to solve complex SEO, internationalization, and AI visibility issues. I’ve also managed remote-first teams of 75+ across time zones, guided by a simple belief: global work requires global ways of collaborating.
Originally from Italy, I spent 13 years in Dublin and now live in Lisbon — three places that shaped how I understand identity, migration, and communication.

Global growth services
My work spans English, Italian, Spanish, Korean, French, Portuguese, and Japanese, and I operate directly in all of these languages. For markets beyond my fluency, I collaborate with a trusted network of specialists. I support companies at every stage of international growth—whether they’re entering a new region for the first time or refining long-term, multi-market strategies.
This multilingual and interdisciplinary approach helps me understand how language shapes perception and behaviour, adding cultural depth and nuance to digital strategies so they resonate across borders instead of simply being translated.
Beyond work
Outside of consulting, I’m an outdoor enthusiast and a devoted explorer of food culture, especially where cuisine intersects with identity and tradition. I’m a strong advocate for a more culturally inclusive approach to international SEO, one that reduces access barriers and reflects the realities of diverse users. My Italian accent often makes its presence known when I speak at conferences, and I’m unapologetically passionate about correcting misconceptions around Italian cuisine.
I also work as a journalist, contributing to publications like Skyscanner and Reader’s Digest, as well as SEO-focused outlets including SearchEngineLand, Oncrawl, Wix, and Weglot. My work on language disparities and sociolinguistics has been featured in Wired and other global and academic platforms.
Over the years, I’ve co-founded several websites and online magazines across different niches, and I provide consulting through GiVe Marketing, the integrated agency I co-founded with Giuseppe Milo.

My Achievements
Google Women Techmakers Ambassador
As a Google Women Techmakers Ambassador, I am dedicated to fostering gender diversity in the tech industry. In this role, I actively champion the cause of empowering women in technology through various initiatives and programs. I collaborate with a global community of like-minded individuals to create opportunities, offer mentorship, and provide resources that support women in their tech careers. My mission is to highlight the age disparity issue in the tech industry, advocating for women over 40 who often face inequities in compensation and opportunities compared to our male peers. In this role, I also reinforce my commitment to mentoring underprivileged women and girls who aspire to make their mark in tech (or are still unsure) without wanting to jump into coding.
